Terms of Service

1. The service

Thrifted (thrifted.ng) is a marketplace where individuals buy and sell pre-loved clothing and shoes in Nigeria. Thrifted is not the seller of listed items — we provide the platform, payment protection, and dispute resolution between buyers and sellers. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Buyer protection & escrow

When a buyer pays through Thrifted, the money is held by the platform and released to the seller only after the buyer confirms the item arrived as described, or 7 days after the seller ships it if the buyer takes no action. If an order is disputed, payment is frozen until our team resolves the dispute. Payments made outside the platform are not protected — never pay a seller directly.

3. Fees

Listing items is free. When an item sells, Thrifted deducts a service fee of 10% from the sale amount before paying out the seller. Fees may change with notice; changes never apply to orders already placed.

4. Seller obligations

• Describe items honestly, including flaws, and use your own photos.
• Only list items you own and have the right to sell.
• Ship sold items promptly with a reputable courier and provide tracking where available.
• Counterfeit goods, stolen goods, and prohibited items are not allowed and will be removed.

5. Buyer obligations

• Provide an accurate delivery address and phone number.
• Inspect items on arrival and confirm delivery honestly.
• Raise problems through the dispute process within the protection window, not through chargebacks first.

6. Refunds & disputes

If an item never arrives or is significantly not as described, open a dispute from the order page before the order completes. Our team reviews disputes and may refund the buyer or release payment to the seller. Our decision on the escrowed amount is final within the platform.

7. Account rules

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, attempt fraud, harass other users, or take transactions off-platform to avoid protection and fees. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

8. Liability

Thriftedprovides the platform "as is". To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, our liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount held in escrow for that order.
